BREAKING: GET HIM! Fifty major media organizations join together to submit an amicus brief in support of the CNN, Politico, and MS NOW lawsuit to lift Trump's "Constitutionally repugnant" White House ban.

He really woke a sleeping giant with this one...

"The President has indicated that evictions of other news organizations will follow. The current ban – and any future bans – are intended to impair the critical work of news organizations covering the presidency if this Court does not immediately intervene," the coalition, which includes the Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press, the White House Correspondents’ Association, NPR, CBS, ABC, and scores of other media organizations argued.

An amicus curiae brief, which translates to "friend of the court," is a legal filing submitted by an entity or entities that are not party to the lawsuit in order to offer arguments, expertise, or relevant insight to the case. In this case, the organizations are offering their emphatic support for CNN, Politico, and MS NOW which were banned from the White House by Trump for supposedly spreading "fake news."

Clearly, the organizations recognize that Trump's power grab represents a dire threat to the Constitution. If a corrupt President like this can unilaterally label an outlet as "fake news" simply because he dislikes their coverage of his administration, we cease to live in a country with genuine free speech.

"Barring these three news organizations from access to the White House because they exercised their ‘editorial control and judgment’ to cover issues in a way that the President views as negative ‘exacts a penalty on the basis of the content of a newspaper’ much like any law that forbids publication or imposes a monetary sanction on its use," the filing reads.

This is what it looks like when the united free press stands up to a would-be tyrant. Trump is doomed to fail in this fight, just like he has failed every time before when he sought to shred the Constitution.

BREAKING: HELL YES! Republican Sen. John Curtis demands an investigation into Don Jr.'s stunningly corrupt island wedding which was funded by a Putin-connected oligarch.

The bill has finally come due for the MAGA crime spree...

"A toaster is a wedding gift. A private-island party paid for by a Putin-connected oligarch is something else," Curtis wrote on X. "Republicans nearly wore out the subpoena machine investigating Hunter Biden’s foreign relationships. We should not unplug it now. ‘Trust us’ was not enough then, and it is not enough now."

He included a copy of the letter that he sent to Sen. Chuck Grassley, the chair of the Judiciary Committee as well as Sen. Dick Durbin, the ranking Democratic member on that committee.

Curtis pointed out that 72% of Americans now believe that the federal government is "corrupt," and attributed this stunning statistic to the "perception that those with close proximity to political power are provided with opportunities, access, and treatment unavailable to ordinary Americans."

"That concern should not depend on which party controls the White House," wrote Curtis.

In the case of the Trump administration, that "perception" is just a fact. The President, his children, and his cronies have been looting the treasury, lining their pockets with sweetheart contracts and crypto scams, and taking blatant bribes from corporations and foreign governments.

Donald Trump Jr.'s wedding is just the most recent, blatant evidence of this White House's rampant criminality. Last week, it was revealed that his wedding in the Bahamas was funded by Umar Kremlev, a close ally of Putin who has been implicated in the mass trafficking of children out of Ukraine. The obvious question is why a Russian oligarch is paying for the President's son's wedding. The obvious answer is that he's getting something in return.

Senator Curtis went on in his letter to throw some cursory barbs at Hunter Biden before explicitly mentioning Don Jr.'s wedding—

"More recently, questions have arisen about the relationships of President Trump's eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., with foreign business figures and the acceptance of significant gifts," he wrote. "These include a lavish wedding afterparty, on a private island, provided by Russian oligarch Umar Kremlev, who reportedly traveled to China as part of a delegation accompanying Vladimir Putin shortly before giving the gift."

He stated that the concerns are "compounded" by Jr.'s "active promotion of family-backed cryptocurrency ventures, his continued pursuit of international real estate deals involving direct meetings with foreign heads of state, and his reported investments in defense contracting" as well as "his significant financial and advisory ties to prediction-market platforms that depend on favorable federal regulatory decisions being considered by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission."

In other words, Jr.'s a hotbed of intersecting corruption vectors, any one of which would be a cause for concern. Taken in totality, it becomes undeniable that something deeply illegal is afoot.

"The country should not have to accept one standard for the family of a Republican president and another for the family of a Democratic president," wrote Curtis. "Nor should congressional oversight begin and end when control of the White House changes hands."

And then came the hammer blow, the section of the letter that has MAGA supporters screeching in helpless outrage—

"I therefore respectfully request that the Senate Judiciary Committee launch an investigation into the use of presidential family relationships for private financial benefit, preferential treatment, or access by domestic and foreign interests," wrote Curtis. "As part of that investigation, I urge the Committee to subpoena Donald Trump Jr. and Hunter Biden to testify regarding their past business dealings, relationships with foreign individuals and entities, gifts, or other benefits they have received, and any instances in which their relationship to the President was invoked or understood to provide value."

"The purpose of such an inquiry should be straightforward: establish the facts, determine whether existing ethics, disclosure, or anti-corruption laws apply, and identify reforms necessary to prevent the presidency from becoming a vehicle for private enrichment by those closest to it," he continued.

"Americans deserve confidence that public institutions serve them—not presidents, political parties, wealthy interests, or members of powerful families. Congress has an obligation to pursue credible concerns wherever they lead and without regard to party," Curtis added.

While the inclusion of Hunter Biden at this point is a total waste of time, if that's what it takes to get Donald Trump Jr. hauled in front of Congress, it's worth it. Unlike Jr., Hunter has nothing to hide.

The fact that Curtis is the one calling for this investigation shows you just how radioactive President Trump has become. Not that long ago, it would have been unthinkable for a Republican to dare target Trump's family. Now, the American people have turned so overwhelmingly against this administration that it's not only acceptable, but politically wise to break ranks. Once Democrats retake this November, the investigations will start coming fast and hard.
