Bengal till 1960s had a diverse business community (unlike Marwaris)

From the traditional Tili, Tanti, Saha, "Banik" castes to Brahmin, Kayastha, Baidya, Mahishya.... Bengalis from wide range of Caste backgrounds were into commerce & industry
