Taking in the surroundings whilst watching the water yesterday, Long-tailed Tits building nests,a very vocal Green woodpecker landing on the same tree as M/F Great Spotted Woodpecker who was also drilling a nest, Treecreeper showing lovely colours, also 5 House Martins flew over.
Some cracking views of the Bonaparte's Gull this morning, landed on Blaxton Meadow for 10-15 mins and then flew off towards the gas pipe, also 2 Med Gulls.

Redshank, Shag, Curlew, LBBG, Herring gull, BH Gull, Shelduck, Little Egret, Carrion Crow, Stock dove, Meadow Pipit, Skylark highlights were this year's first Whimbrel, a visiting Peregrine, and a pair of Red-breasted Mergansers
Took a trip to wembury point this morning , highlights were Fulmar nesting on the Mewstone, a single Razorbill flew by, GBBG, Black-headed Gulls, Turnstone, Oystercatchers and this Sparrowhawk that had a failed attempt of catching a Rock Pipit
Yellow-Browed Warbler at Efford Marsh this morning along with Chiffchaff, Goldcrest, Grey Wagtail.
Black-necked Grebe at Torpoint with Great Crested Grebe
Eider and a hungry Cormorant eating a wrasse at Hannafore
And finished with 4 Spoonbill off Wacker Quay.
A quick trip to Emsworthy Mire this afternoon, 6 Ring Ouzel and 1 Fieldfare, it's quite unbelievable how fast they are stripping the berries off the tree's.
Any birders reporting autumn passage Ring Ouzels (esp in southern England) please look out for coloured leg rings on juveniles from the Peak District @EasternMoors projec. π
