I would say it comes from the convergence of past and present knowledge. Astronaut like figures in ancient art, hieroglyphs that resemble spacecraft, and recurring architectural styles spread across the world despite no known connections between those civilizations. Humanoid fossils that challenge linear evolution, and observations from instruments like the James Webb Space Telescope that force us to question the mathematics we use and even the fundamentals of known physics.

There is also the question of shared perception. Why does humanity seem to recognize certain forms instinctively? A being that has never seen a bird cannot truly imagine a bird. Yet we collectively describe similar anomalies. We do not spontaneously imagine hexagonal, semi transparent entities detectable only in infrared, emitting sounds that shift from human like to bird like, with no face or mouth, capable of surviving in space, possessing multiple lifespans and losing a part of themselves with each death. These ideas do not emerge randomly, yet they recur across cultures and eras.

When many such anomalies are viewed not in isolation but as a continuous flow of information, they begin to suggest a deeper pattern. In this scenario:
•Humans experience first contact unexpectedly and accidentally, through observation of the derelict ship and its rescuers.
•Contact is slow, indirect, and observational, essentially archaeological, as the alien species studies their lost craft while noticing us.
