I agree with letting your grass grow long for May, but what happens to all the insects, larvae and other animals that then make that area their home? They get chopped up in June. Instead, why not adopt a #NoMowSummer. There’s no point encouraging life to then end it a month later…

On the downside, the council won’t be able to hire it out as an apocalyptic film set.

If you’re local, why not adopt a tree and help it through summer by watering it!
