⚠️IMPORTANT THREAD⚠️:
I genuinely think people need to start paying attention to El Niño.
Like actually learn what it is, what it does and why this particular one is terrifying.
Because I don’t think most people realize what is happening right now. 1/13
Brilliant illustration here of the creeping rise of SUVs, child-killing planet-choking monstrosities which are completely unnecessary but pander to some people’s sad inadequacy. If tempted to buy one, try therapy instead, it will be cheaper for you and safer for the rest of us.
“Can I be a radical feminist and have a boyfriend?” Is the wrong question to ask and the wrong mindset to have. It’s focusing entirely on the label and desire for female community rather than actually being an ideological radical feminist.
If you are interested in radical feminism then the first thing you should do is read radical feminist essays and/or books, and if you agree with radical feminism then you should participate in it and engage with other radical feminists regardless of your relationships status and sexuality. This is not about being in a special club. I know we are all deeply craving community with other women who don’t agree with the trans BS. And you deserve a space in this community no matter who you’re dating.
If you’re a woman then that means radical feminism is for you. But that’s different from actually practicing radical feminism. If you want to be a radfem, you need to practice what you preach (within ability to do so, for example, supporting separatism but having to work with men).
Radical feminism encourages women to question societal expectations of heterosexual relationships. We ask new-coming women to question the social expectations of heterosexuality and to question heterosexual relationship dynamics. Weigh out the pros and cons of your relationship. But you have to be truly honest with yourself and that’s the hard part.
I do not support the harassment or bullying of rad-leaning women with boyfriends or husbands. I don’t necessarily think you have to be a (romantic) separatist to be a radical feminist (this is highly debatable and other women will disagree with me), but Radical feminism requires doing things that aren’t easy to do for most women. And I think if you refuse to analyze and question your 2 yr relationship with your boyfriend at all then you are not ready to call yourself a radical feminist!
That doesn’t mean it’s not “for you” as a woman, it always will be for all women and girls, but you have work to do, sister!
Asking women to consider separatism (no romantic/sexual relationships with men) is not asking straight women to become lesbians. That implies that you need to have sex to survive. You do not need to have sex to survive. Any woman can be content without a man, any woman can be content without sex.
But no matter who you are as a woman or a girl RADICAL FEMINISM IS *FOR* YOU!
And this comment finally takes the cake: Yet another sex buyer admitting that #prostitution could not function without #sextrafficking and that he knows full well most women don't say anything while he is brutalizing them, because pimps might do even worse to them if they do.
1. Never happens.
2. If it happens, the paedophile isn't trans.
3. The real crime here is the deadnaming.
4. TERFs love it when this stuff happens.
5. OMG why do you even care?
For people who apparently hate their bodies they are sure as hell obsessed with their cocks and the idea of using their genitalia as a form of punishment against women who say no to them .
interesting how if you start a statement with "under capitalism..." people can recognise the historical specificity and contingency of what you're saying, but if you start one with "under patriarchy..." people call it bioessentialist and broadly evil.
Imagine the reaction if this were any other marginalised group under any other circumstances.
When it's women, when it's sex, there's no dehumanistion, no degradation and exploitation that isn't covered by "she choose it" even though the majority don't even do that.
