@benjonescricket 2/2 Are there measures you can use to decide whether a good, out of form player is likely to perform better or worse than a less good, in form player in the next game. E.g., should WI pick Chase over Pooran for their next, must win game?
@benjonescricket 1/2 Is "form" quantifiable, or even real? Teams often pick historically good players with poor recent performances because they expect them to return to their mean level. But in a tournament that is only valid reasoning if you expect them to "return to form" very quickly.
