Sometimes itโs good to ask yourself where you might be if you didnโt take control of your life.
For others itโs time to ask where you could be if you took control today.
Just like you are unaware of that item you lost. Are you still sad for it? Imagine if you knew everything in your future? Would you feel all the emotions about your death your entire life? Tranquility is living in right now.
Who decided when anger dissipates? Typically when angered by an unsolvable issue, the anger that arose will fade and disappear over time. Who is to say the anger cannot be diminished immediately through proper mental control?
Truly living in the moment is when you can immediately return to emotional homeostasis. You are in control of nothing except your own thoughts and reactions. The situation was already going to happen, you were just unaware.
If you can train every rep, fully believing there are 100 fans cheering you on in the gym. Or feel the same peace and serenity achieved on a beach watching the sunset, during your days at your stressful job. You have attained control of your mind.
Bad day at work? Get rid of your entitlement and think about how ecstatic someone from a third world country would be for the opportunity to provide for their family. There are no inherently bad or good days. Only good or bad reactions.
