Today we honor Rev. Jesse Jackson; a civil rights icon and tireless voice for justice.
His life is a blueprint for courage and perseverance. His legacy calls us to keep fighting for equality and dignity for all.
Our prayers are with the Jackson family. #KeepHopeAlive
Alabama’s prisons are overcrowded, unsafe, & failing.
That’s not justice, & it’s not sustainable. Prison reform is about accountability, safety, & human dignity.
I’ll be at the Prison Oversight Committee meeting this Wednesday pushing for real reform.
Alabama can. Alabama WILL.
On this MLK Day, let’s commit to being servant leaders — in our neighborhoods, our schools, our workplaces, and our government.
That’s how we honor his legacy. That’s how we build a better Alabama.
Alabama can. Alabama Will.
Is it just me, or does anyone else feel like someone is always watching over your shoulder? Seriously, thank you, Coda, for your oversight as I loaded the vehicle this afternoon.
Tragedy demands accountability and compassion — not reckless talk about “shooting back.” Leadership means de-escalation, respect for life, and public safety rooted in responsibility. Alabama deserves better.
Alabama can. Alabama WILL.

Yesterday, I officially filed and qualified to run for Governor of Alabama, entering the Democratic primary. I’m running to put people first and focus on solutions that move our state forward.
Let’s get to work. Alabama can. Alabama Will.

As we head into a new year, I’m hopeful for Alabama — hopeful we choose unity, compassion, and progress. Here’s to a healthy, determined, and forward-looking year ahead.
Alabama can. Alabama WILL.
This Christmas, I’m thinking about what truly matters: family, community, and looking out for one another. Wishing you and your loved ones a peaceful and joyful holiday.
Alabama can. Alabama WILL.
One of the most powerful stops I made this year was at the Scottsboro Boys Museum, where history reminded us what happens when justice fails and systems go unchecked.
That visit and the showing of “The Alabama Solution” documentary strengthened my resolve.
In my first year as Governor of Alabama, I will overhaul our broken prison and parole system. It starts with a civilian audit of prison health and safety and the launch of my PTSD Solution—fixing parole delays, ending unjust technical violations, guaranteeing timely hearings, and data—not politics—to drive reform.
As stated by key historical figures such as Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., “Justice delayed is justice denied.”
Alabama can—and must—do better.

Alabama has some of the worst infant and maternal mortality rates. Medicaid expansion is step one to fixing our broken healthcare system. Together, Alabama can. Alabama WILL.

On my way to Scottsboro to watch the Alabama Solution. One thing is clear, Alabama’s prison system needs reform from the top to the bottom. Change is not optional, and we must work together. Alabama can. Alabama Will.
