My first feature film—which will be at festivals next year—was recently announced via @DEADLINE, thanks @WhittockTweets for the coverage.

@brennan_nnn this one knocked me sideways. i’m a writer-director (deeply inspired by early wes) and my dad was the guy who designed Mt Atlanticus in Myrtle Beach
@kylascan This is so insightful, and I love TSL. I think another consequence of the instant gratification-ification of culture is that lasting benefits are literally engineered OUT of things, since the time-horizon (to click, buy, get a dopamine hit) simply doesn’t see or select for them
Read my short essay about this stuff, and subscribe and/or repost if you can. This thing is a side project and every follow helps!

@jayson_smiley So much depends on the actors and what they bring to it. Often the best lines aren’t funny on the page, but the way they’re delivered.
And many of my favorite comedies have sparsely-written scripts, building in lots to be found in the moment by the cast.
@default_friend So true, I see it from people in (or from) academia where stakes are small, egos are huge, and you’re trained to build imaginary counterarguments into your arguments from the getgo. Much more fun to read people at peace with risks of being wrong
