@marlynsigh Oh I can list fun. Fun is Penn State Whiteout coming out to zombie nation, Virginia tech coming out to enter sandman, the Chicago bulls coming out to Sirius. Vegas’ intro just looks some dweebs who couldn’t get a gig at Disneyland larping around on the ice for 5 mins
@mitchy5280@DLineCo@PistolRick I think it’s the same reason every fast food chain has switched to the modern box architecture — they want a sense of uniformity across the brand. The NBA wants each team to have somewhat of a crest, similar to European soccer clubs
This is nearly identical to the Kroenke’s not wanting to pay Tim Connelly, letting him walk out the door, subsequently crushing the Nuggets’ greatest era and championship window they’ll ever have.
Happy for CMac. Terrible loss for the Avs. Way to go again, Josh and Stan!
CMac, thank you for 11 seasons of hard work and dedication to our organization and for helping bring another Stanley Cup to Colorado.
We wish you all the best!
For the Kroenke’s having a ton of really successful franchises across sports rn, they’re not doing a whole lot of trophy or banner raising… lots being left on the table
The Dallas Stars:
- Didn't get swept
- Didn't trade two 1sts at the deadline
- Won the last 3 series vs COL
- Still have a bright future ahead of them
- Are not paying Nelson + Necas $19M
- Have Rantanen
I'd take the Stars situation over a Stanley Cup any day of the week.
@BleedOilBlue Only problem is Mikko would’ve walked in FA. It seemed like a big rift had been built between the parties and he was out the door. So getting value back rather than nothing was what CMac deemed best. Tough spot to be in
@SoCalAvsFan I feel like I’ll come around to this perspective in the middle of July when I’m so desparately missing Avs hockey, but rn for awhile all I’m gonna feel is pain and massive disappointment lol
The way the three Playoff series ended over the past 5 months here in Colorado for Broncos, Nuggets and Avalanche are about as bad as it gets.
First world problems? Yes.
But there could have and SHOULD HAVE been so much more for all three teams.
@DNVR_Avalanche “But it’s not like we weren’t generating” says the guy who’s on the team that didn’t have a shot on goal for 25 straight minutes tonight
