@codexeditor Whether or not there was a cave that leaked poisonous gasses never mattered to me. I always thought the priestess used an omphalous filled with specific concoctions. Though the wiki does not seem to mention that 🤔 read it in an encyclopedia ages ago.

@Ganymede_888 @codexeditor I see it as interpretative propositions. To arrive at an interpretative proposition you need a cogent semantic structure. Some are leaps and others are chromatic. A statement’s antithesis may be one mile marker. Poetic exegesis would occupy a curved plane between two fixed points

@strangestloop Lyrics because music + lyrics is an ancient form that was lost and revived with Schumann’s “Lieders”. The lyrics are given so much color than simple poetry when a melody comes into play.

In a post modern world we can only play around with the former. Unless the language is designed as an intermediate step in a greater language (symbolic computation).

@codexeditor It depends on “What you’re trying to say.” To borrow from Wittgenstein, you’d need to be able to point at something and gesture want, need or desire. Collaboratively that’s powerful. Non-necessary or non-pragmatic communication is poetry. Poetry + total illiteracy is poetry.

@codexeditor I would try taking simple poems and rewriting them with a dual symbol system. One symbol can be as wild as you’d like. The other symbol a calibrating emoji. Connective space between symbols can imply less important words that thread word space together. “I, he, the, if, to,” etc

@codexeditor It sounds dumb but any shape, structure, image, symbol can be anchored by an emoji or string of emojis. Emoji would be a calibration mechanism for symbolic communication because it would lend a small amount of meaning to something less defined.
