@TimothyTTaylor Interesting to think about who bears the costs of more policing. "building the kinds of communities where young men in particular are less prone to crime" - that's a good goal, for all types of crime.
Another great @carlsoncory podcast ep. Loved the genuine vulnerable @KendraRamirez convo. Reframing - converting our fears of scarcity into positive What Ifs of abundance. Fear = false evidence appearing real. Seek community, reject isolation, embrace hope.
@BRADLEYWTHOMAS @CB_Connector That's true, many people are riding the streetcar, so it is getting used. Also keep in mind that it is free to ride, compared to paying for bus fare. Would love to see free bus rides.
I'm #reading Blue Age by @EasterbrookG - fascinating stories about the seas. Intriguing historical events, modern navy vessels, context and comparisons, and the underappreciated value of peace on the ocean. Great book, highly recommend.
@TimothyTTaylor "some of those changes will be persistent" - same for us. Also interesting, food spending as a share of income, since 'away from home' is a more expensive meal.
Wordy action. @pegpolanski just dropped a sub-100 time on #solitaire, and she knows that @kgilley7 can't beat it. The toughest thing about being the best is that there is no one else to beat.
Great @carlsoncory podcast ep with @CherylanneSays - I like the point that work is often maximized in life, and everything else is squeezed in where it can fit. It's better to prioritize the good things in our lives.
