@CWBChicago We as a society need to see this and understand that we must stop trying to rehabilitate monsters who cannot be rehabilitated. Pure evil cannot be fixed with “restorative justice”. We have to stop enabling the violent criminal element in the name of social progressiveness
@dzranammo@CWBChicago Imagine being on the side of this offender’s right to carry in a city with 2000 shootings in a year. I’m sure you’re a responsible gun owner. What a truly asinine position. And yet you present from some misplaced sense of self-righteousness and intellectual superiority? LOL
@nmchicag@thinkorswim0712@CWBChicago She wrote a scathing email about it and then proceeded to explain the situation to relevant people privately. She literally resigned from a huge job because of KF and it’s not enough for you because she didn’t pound her fists enough? She’s a good judge even if this was wrong
CCSAO approved charges against a 16-year-old who allegedly used a ghost gun to murder Altmann Mnyuku, a 35-year-old Uber driver, during a botched robbery on July 31. A judge today ordered the defendant detained.

@nmchicag@thinkorswim0712@CWBChicago Explained it to me and my coworkers several times without being gossipy or disrespectful. She is a favorite to deal with among police generally speaking, and was a favorite when it came to her time as an ASA. You won’t find many POs with bad things to say. All I’m saying.
@nmchicag@thinkorswim0712@CWBChicago She’s explained it to plenty of people in person. She was also a good prosecutor. That’s an objective fact.
I also think anyone can read between the lines of her letter. She wasn’t having the KF nonsense anymore
@nmchicag@thinkorswim0712@CWBChicago Toller did the opposite of keep her mouth shut about Foxx, to be fair. She was a pretty newsworthy resignation and act of dissent against KF. I don’t know the facts of this particular case but as far as judges go, she’s generally on the side of pragmatism
@Sal_LaBarbera No way to explain to someone what it’s like to knock on that door and sit with a family after turning their world upside down and inside out.
@Sal_LaBarbera@Therealdoghead “I don’t care about anything but what happened to him. Nothing else that has ever happened with him and the police matters to us at all. I am on your team, and unfortunately we are now connected forever..”
Away from the serious side of people losing their lives. The family members and hundreds affected by one life lost.
It is comical to watch cases play out in the media with the experts and especially social media keyboard warriors.
Love to see any of these folks respond to a devastating scene, sit down with family members and deliver the news.
A Piece of your heart is taken each time
@iamgblaise@CWBChicago Hey jagoff, if it was your daughter—would you want her spending the night on the cold ground after being shot twice in the head? Or would you want help to arrive right away even if she couldn’t be saved? You’ve never had to be the one to tell a grieving parent such a thing tho
@w_h_thompson It seems notable that the fatality rate of all shootings in Chicago is about 18%, but the fatality rate for shooting victims not afforded the courtesy of a 911 call is 50%.
Residents of the South Shore building targeted by federal agents blame the owner and property manager for “inhumane” conditions that city efforts did little to improve and which predated the arrival of immigrants. Read more: https://t.co/2Gs3SHRlNG
