Two Days. One Sleep.

[Willie Watson @WillieWatsongs]

“Already Gone” seems to be a centerpoint of this whole record. It’s a guy just trying to look at himself in the mirror and it’s hard. I’ve tried not to look too close but if I can stop tearing myself apart inside for two seconds, get a little closer and just look.. sometimes I hear a gentler voice. As for the video… you caught me at the right moment. Those big camera lenses are just mirrors if you get close up.

Today I’m proud to release my latest single “Slim and The Devil”. I love this recording so much! I might even dare to say it’s my favorite thing I’ve ever made!
Sterling A. Brown involuntarily wrote this song with me a few years ago. Right after the Charlottesville, VA hate march/riot. It was quite upsetting to watch all that garbage on TV. Especially in a town I know and love. Putting music to his words was also the first step for me to be able to write songs again. It was the first the little seedling that sprouted this record.
