i actually cant process that hes gone man. u think this day will never come but here we are. everyone always talks about his debut season or winning the champions league but i only started properly supporting this club around 2021. i missed the early glory days, but honestly that just made me appreciate him even more because i saw him when things were actually falling apart.

i fell in love with this club during that covid season when we literally had no center backs and were playing rhys williams and nat phillips every week. the whole squad was broken, the stadiums were empty, but mo was just out there dropping 20 plus goals and dragging us to top four completely by himself. he was the only light in a totally dark season.

and then the 21/22 season happened. watching him score that hat trick at old trafford and completely silence that stadium was the moment i realized i was watching the best player on the planet. i didn't need to be there for 2018 to know he was a god. the solo goal against city, sending martinez to the shops, he was just untouchable.

the craziest part is the consistency. mane left, bobby dropped off and left, all these new attackers like nunez and diaz came in and struggled with their finishing, but mo was just the anchor through all of it. you could blindfold him and he would still guarantee you 25 goals and 10 assists a season. we got so used to it that people actually started taking his greatness for granted.

all these tacticos on the timeline right now talking about who edwards is going to sign to replace him need to just shut up for a minute. you literally cannot replace him. you can drop 100 million on a right winger but you cannot buy that aura. you cant buy the absolute panic he causes in a defense just by standing out wide. the system literally does not matter when you lose a player of that magnitude.

thank you for everything mo. you are the reason i stuck around and fell in love with liverpool when the times were tough. the right wing is never going to look the same without you waiting to cut inside on that left foot. it feels like the heart of the club just got ripped out today and im just completely shattered. greatest winger the premier league has ever seen.
