@abcnews watching election night coverage. WHERE IS @CaseyBriggs ?!
With Antony stepping out, it seems rude not to have his perfect successor more prominently in the broadcast.
The intersecting disadvantages of ageism and ableism render older people with disabilities virtually invisible.
I'm proud to have worked on this research addressing an important public policy and research gap in humanitarian and development practice.
🚨 New research alert! 🚨

For the last 10 years, the Disability Inclusive Development Fund has remained largely unchanged at $12.9m, losing almost 20% in real terms value over that time.
Tonight’s increase of $1.1m will support new initiatives on access to assistive technology for children with disabilities across the Pacific. This is a positive step, though much more action is needed to meet the commitment of disability equity as a core area of action.
We acknowledge tonight's announcement, as part of the #FederalBudget, of an increase to the central disability allocation within Australia's Official Development Assistance, from $12.9m to $14m.
Not to be alarmist but…this is what’s called a six-sigma event, now unfolding in Antarctica.
Otherwise known as a once-in-7.5-million-year event.
Hang onto your hats.

@davosfingers Criteria: who would I want to sit next to on an international flight. Stannis is going to sit silently and respect the etiquette around armrests. The Hound is going to drink and get sad. Stannis.
@davosfingers Criteria: who would I rather sit next to on an international flight. Dunk's long legs would be an issue but I think he'd make up for it in conversation. Dunk narrowly.
