🚨 Manchester City send Mathys Detourbet to AS Monaco on loan after signing him from Troyes: all documents are signed. 🔃🇫🇷

Detourbet left City Group side Troyes and signs in at Man City for €25m package with straight loan to AS Monaco, now signed 🇲🇨

AS Monaco have an option to extend the loan until 2028, as @FabriceHawkins reports.

Man City have a specific clause if they want to bring back the player earlier.

The Enzo Maresca, or whoever the next Manchester City manager is, announcement will likely come towards the latter part of the month.

The deal is probably already agreed in principle, but there are usually plenty of details that still need to be finalised behind the scenes, and those processes can take weeks to complete.

It is also fairly common for managerial contracts to begin on 1 July, as that aligns with the start of the new football year from an administrative perspective.

My guess is that the club are using June to complete internal reviews, finalise staffing structures, and plan recruitment before officially unveiling the new manager.

I may be wrong, but I'd suggest everyone sits back and waits for now.
