2PM: Judge orders the DOJ to unredact and release the Epstein files, which contain the names on his client list.
5PM: Trump refuses.
8PM: US again begins bombing Iran.
You know.....For anyone keeping count.
Mitch McConnell is actually the best Metaphor for, and representation of, America and our political system. He spent almost a century making the world a better place for only himself and his friends, married an immigrant while working tirelessly against other immigrants, manipulated the system to increase his power only to be usurped & made impotent by someone even more unethical, unscrupulous and power hungry. Then when the system is finally done with him, they keep his dead body on life support just to use him for one more power move until finally allowing him sweet sweet death while his wife flees the country and his children go into hiding. And when it's all said and done, he'll be best remembered for a meme that made him into a turtle. America.
In the past hour, the Trump admin has deleted their web page that recommended setting thermostats between 75-78 during heat waves, and 85 if you are not home, after the GOP learned that Mayor Mamdani was urging New Yorkers to follow White House guidance.
When it comes to the "late ballots" Supreme Court ruling, I want you to use basic reasoning here and tell me which of these two things is more dangerous to the American people:
1. Allow Americans to continue to vote by mail, with secure, trackable, verifiable ballots, and count only ballots with a certified on-time postmark - even if the legitimate ballot is received and counted days after election day.
Or
2. Allow the federal government a mechanism to use the Post Office to delay the delivery of legitimately cast and postmarked ballots from precincts that are unfavorable to whichever is the current administration, until after election day, thereby invalidating them.
Is this really that hard?
For a party that claims massive distrust of the federal government, MAGA sure wants to give it a great deal of power.
How opposing GMs gifted Vegas the winningest team in hockey at the expansion draft:
Bad Trades
• Anaheim traded Vegas Shea Theodore so they take on Clayton Stoner's $3.25m x 1y contract.
• Minnesota traded Vegas Alex Tuch so they would pick up Erik Haula instead of Matt Dumba or Eric Staal.
• Pittsburgh traded Vegas a 2nd round pick (Drew Commesso) so they would take on Marc-Andre Fleury's $5.75m x 3y contract.
• NY Islanders traded Vegas the 15th overall pick (Erik Brannstrom) and a 2nd round pick (Egor Sokolov) so they would take on Mikhail Grabovski's $5m x 1y contract.
• Tampa Bay traded Vegas Nikita Gusev, a 2nd round pick (Alex Texier) and a 4th round pick (Paul Cotter) so would take on Jason Garrison's $4.6m x 1y contract
• Winnipeg traded the 13th overall pick (Nick Suzuki) for the 24th overall pick so Vegas wouldn't select Tobias Enstrom.
Bad Protections
• Boston protected Kevan Miller over Colin Miller.
• Los Angeles protected Derek Forbort over Brayden McNabb.
• St. Louis protected Sobotka, Berglund, Reaves over David Perron and Jordan Binnington.
Bad Everything
• Florida traded them Reilly Smith for a 4th round pick, left Jonathan Marchessault exposed, while protecting Alex Petrovic & Mark Pysyk.
• Columbus traded them a 1st & 2nd round pick so they would take on David Clarkson's $5.25m x 3y contract. Then they exposed 43-goal scorer William Karlsson.
In total, they finessed:
• Shea Theodore
• Jonathan Marchessault
• William Karlsson
• Reilly Smith
• David Perron
• Brayden McNabb
• Marc-Andre Fleury
—
• Alex Tuch (huge part of Jack Eichel package)
• Nick Suzuki (huge part of Max Pacioretty package)
• Drew Commesso (huge part of Robin Lehner package)
• Colin Miller (huge part of Alec Martinez package)
—
• Erik Brannstrom & Egor Sokolov (became Mark Stone)
• Erik Haula (became Nicolas Roy -> Mitch Marner)
• Alex Texier (became Keegan Kolesar)
• Nikita Gusev (became Daniil Chayka, Lukas Cormier, and Jakub Demek)
• Paul Cotter (became Alex Holtz, Akira Schmid, and Mason Moe)
The league's got no one to blame but themselves.
"Enemy from within." "Communists, Marxists, fascists, radical left thugs, vermin." "Garbage" Somalis, "low IQ people." "She's an evil, sick, crazy, b..."
Republicans want the left to tone down the rhetoric. Erm, have they listened to Donald Trump??
Zeteo put together a montage:
Alright. I'll be THAT guy.
In the room before the panic we clearly hear 5 shots. The video Trump posted shows him run through, agents drew guns.
Cole Tomas Allen had a makeshift shotgun, not an automatic rifle. The shots were the agents.
Agents shoot center mass. Something 'stopped' the shooter. He is shown on the ground, chest and back exposed (center mass).
Where did the Agents shoot him? What stopped him? Where is the blood? Why is his supratrochlear vein not indicating that he is in any pain or distress?
The video of Trump, Melania, and the magician shows the women reacting as if there's a shooter before Trump or others react, as if it was practiced.
Is this another staged event?
Reversing course?
July 15, 2025: Trump said he wants 5 new GOP congressional seats in Texas and up to 5 in "other states" – and it's "OK" if blue states respond.
April 20, 2026: Trump on Virginia redistricting, “If they do this...everybody knows it’s unjust, including them.”
@KCM_cochrane@TitaniusTakes@frank_seravalli I’m sure every sportsbook got it wrong. The right group of guys outperformed expectations. It’s that simple and still living in your head rent free 9 years later.
Absolute WORST feeling in the world for any coach.
Me: hey (athlete) how far is mom/dad?
Athlete: I don’t know.
Me: …umm what do you mean you don’t know?…
Athlete: blank stare
Plot twist: 67 was a mathematically significant number long before it became a meme.
Here’s what makes it cool:
It is a prime number (can only be divided by itself and 1). But it’s not just ANY prime number. 🧵⬇️
Republicans says they believe in voter ID, but when one of their own got caught in the snare, what happened? Donald Trump endorsed him. I give you the curious case of John Wahl.
