10 lutego 1940 rozpoczęła się pierwsza masowa deportacja Polaków na Sybir, przeprowadzona przez NKWD.

W głąb Związku Sowieckiego wywieziono około 140 tys. obywateli polskich. Wielu umarło już w drodze, tysiące nie wróciły do kraju.

@PolandMFA @sikorskiradek @PolskiSenat @Polska My family were Siberian deportees and I have been refused Polish citizenship because of lack of certain documents. I was born in UK. It is impossible for many decendants to get a Polish passport. Is there anything you can do to help please?

Jest to tragiczna data w historii naszego narodu, jednakże to wydarzenie nigdy nie może być zapomniane.
