🥹 I've been ghosted by a video editor I hired... I paid upfront back in May 2024, and after 10 months of waiting and missed deadlines, they're not even answering my emails anymore. I haven't been able to get a refund, and idk how I'm gonna get the budget to hire someone else...

@Cyanfeatherkiyo To be fair those are the only devs I knew of who commissioned trailers from that video editor. Since they're also active in the vtuber scene, there could be people I don't know who might share my experience 🤔

@Cyanfeatherkiyo I did actually reach out to the other visual novel devs who commissioned trailers from them! They apparently almost all had problems with their lack of communication and many delays/missed deadlines, but I was the only unlucky one who got straight up ghosted with no refund 😭

@slainephoto Missed deadlines and delays. But most got their videos in the end, or had some sort of alternative arrangement like redirected to another editor to finish the work.
Another friend also got ghosted but was pre-payment.
I might be the only one who got ghosted AND no refund 😭

This video editor I agreed to pay full upfront because I saw their portfolio listed quite a few other visual novel trailers and big vtuber MVs, so I thought they were reputable and trustworthy 😭

@LittleSnakeDev There was! 🥹 I emailed them reminding them of the refund clause, but they never replied... the trailer was fairly pricey too so I've lost quite a bit of money if they don't come back and refund me sigh

@moaninformonet There is a DLC in the works to add a romance route for Potato! but it won't really have new content for Chris since it'd be Potato-focused, so you might not be interested😂
but depending on how the Potato DLC does sales-wise, I might consider doing more DLC content in the future!
