Beginning on January 20th, Vice President-elect Harris and I are going to do everything in our power to ease the burden of health care on you and your families.
Today, I have named a COVID-19 Transition Advisory Board, comprised of distinguished public health experts, to help our transition team translate the Biden-Harris COVID-19 plan into a blueprint we can put into place as soon as @KamalaHarris and I are sworn into office.
While I may be the first woman in this office, I will not be the last—because every little girl watching tonight sees that this is a country of possibilities.
Van, thank you for expressing the sorrow and relief that we all feel. My hope is that those who hoped for a different outcome will take a moment to empathize with the pain so many of us have felt over the past four years.
I feel like our ancestors are rejoicing.
For the first time, a Black and South Asian woman has been elected Vice President of the United States.
My sister has made history and blazed a trail for future generations to follow.
We love you, @KamalaHarris.
America, I’m honored that you have chosen me to lead our great country.
The work ahead of us will be hard, but I promise you this: I will be a President for all Americans — whether you voted for me or not.
I will keep the faith that you have placed in me.
I'm hopeful that we can live in a world where:
-Facts matter
-Science is trusted
-Compassion and decency are valued
-We realize we are alike more than different
-Civility is the norm
-Disagreement can occur without hateful vitriol
-We realize we are all on the same team
This is only a Cinderella story because everyone underestimated us. But these girls are TALENTED and even beyond that they have taken ownership of their player development. They have committed themselves to growth and it SHOWS through their talent and their heart.
