Good Friday in the Windmill United Benefice: the Good Friday liturgy at Horne then Cafรฉ Church in Smallfield Church Hall. Hot cross buns, activities, Easter gardens for the three churches, music - and a cake to celebrate the first birthday of Cafรฉ Church!
Our special Christmas services begin on Sunday with the Burstow and Smallfield Carol Service at 4pm in Smallfield Church Hall, followed by mulled wine and mince pies. All very welcome! Full list of Christmas services across the Benefice here:
There will be a service of Choral Evensong in commemoration of and thanksgiving for Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II at 5.30pm on Sunday 18 September, the eve of her funeral, at St Mary the Virgin, Horne
Following the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth, a book of condolence has been placed in each of the three benefice churches.
All are welcome to spend time in the churches remembering Her Majestyโs long life of service and to add their thoughts to a book, if they so wish
Jubilee weekend is fast approaching and the churches of the Windmill United Benefice, together with the Parish Councils of Burstow and Horne, invite everyone to celebrate in style!
Harvest Festival at Burstow was the third Benefice celebration. As the choir sang โSeeds scattered and sownโ, seeds were handed out as a reminder that Harvest comes from sowing and that we have to give back to the earth, not just take from it; in giving, we receive #SouthwarkCofE

Tomorrow the congregations of Burstow, Horne and Outwood will celebrate Lammas with a service of Holy Communion on Revd Charles Sargentโs farm (Westlands Farm, Antlands Lane) at 11am, followed by a picnic (bring your own food and drink and chair or rug).
