The best ride from Oisin Murphy won him the race on Seagulls Eleven. Wouldn’t have made a difference to the result but Ray Dawson out-rode him on Sallall there sneaking up the rail.
Exactly this.
It’s exactly the same arrogance from owners and trainers we saw around wind op info not being published before it was.
Make the information public and people can use it however they see fit.
Obviously trainers can do what they like on the gallops at home, but it’s ludicrous that barrier trials are taking place on actual racecourses in the UK and the results are being withheld from the betting public. Not the case in HK, US - even Ireland - where there is transparency
@tony_calvin Any idea why the betfair racing podcast has gone? Presumably always been a cost and difficult to demonstrate benefit in terms of increased income/customers? Is it likely to be lack of listeners? What’s considered good numbers for a show like that?

@FootballRamble A #disgrace job that Kroupi didn’t get a mention in the best signings answer. His numbers as teenager are superb. And Truffert too. Kerkez not even missed.
Yes I may be talking through cherry tinted spectacles. #afcb
@tony_calvin What happened to cancelling races which didn’t get sufficient entries?
With the constant complaints about prize money, surely there’s a better use for the prize money being dished out in these walkovers.
@Se_Railway can’t you do anything about the drunk man smoking in the front carriage of the high speed train to ramsgate? The 18:20 out of St Pancras. He’s practically cleared the carriage due to his behaviour.
@Se_Railway I mean, I’ve already moved my young family from that carriage, I don’t really want to have to drag them 5 carriages to the rear half to deal with what should be sorted by southeastern.
@tony_calvin@AKBets If true, it’s ethically v dubious.
When racing thinks about its social contract it tends to focus on wefare but if the sport thinks it’s going to pull the wool over people’s eyes, it is going to lose support v quickly if the public feel the sport thinks it can play by diff rules
