The only thing I disagree is the scoring, which IMO was kinda harsh, but I understood if the reviewer was seeking for plot pacing consistency and clarity. The whole message is still the same IMO, a pretty good series with unfortunately much wasted potential.

Saw this on Facebook. I must say that this is a far more comprehensive review than I made yesterday. It really mentioned bigger Issues that I was actually aware of, but not being included in the review.

And it also compared to how Savers executed better in the plot than BB.

@RavelMonte With how they designed the lore like this, it's just making digimon more superficial and too digimon-centric than how it supposed to be. Perhaps it's deliberate to retcon and simplify things so that newcomers can follow it. For longtime fans especially lore-wise, this is betrayal

@RavelMonte I fully blame this problem to the Digimon Reboot Project's Concept & Lore Designer. I believe they claim to be "Digimon Expert" but really missing the fundamental of digimon's concept

@RavelMonte We have always been introduced that digital world is not only inhabited with digimon. There are also other life forms outside digimon like digignomes etc that may predate the existence of Digimon itself. Even before Yggdrasil, there's ENIAC as the primitive host computer.

@RavelMonte I understand, this is why I think it's not only inconsistent, but self-destroying and betraying the rich lore itself. As if it starts with digimon and ends with digimon also. Whereas, the idea of the whole ecosystem of digimon isn't strictly only digimon-centric.

@MasaruDz @RavelMonte THAT is the problem. A digimon existing before ancient digital world was created, it means it also predates ancient digimon like Imperialdramon species. Shouldn't primitive living being not being called a Digimon? It's like digignomes being the first life form before digimon

It's just unfortunate that Peakbreak couldn't maximize its potential to the peakest.

Personally, PeakBreak could potentially be a 9.5/10 series. Alas, with unresolved issues there, eventually I have to give a final verdict 8/10.

Great series, still below Tamers & Savers tho.

Time to review PeakBreak

This is by far the most enjoyable modern Digimon series I've ever watched. Solid story, great main characters (esp. Kyo), great music. PeakBreak does what Ghost Gamen't.

However, as peak as it is, it suffered from some wasted potentials.

It also treats the characters the best of any modern digimon series. It's not difficult to make the viewers feel empathy or affection towards the characters, if only they didn't introduce too many of them. Just stick to the main one.
