This isn't an unusual thought. Generations of people have said that some people are unqualified or ill informed, and it's "insane to allow" them to vote. Since Mr. Kelly remarks on history here, a few notes follow on the history of this idea.
@TheWinegasm This actually hits close to home: my tinnitus is a bit more than a 1/4 step apart between each ear, but for whatever reason, high-acid wines (Riesling, GrüVe, Chenin, SB, Savagnin) dulls that maddening sensation most effectively. Took me years to notice, but it works for me.
