Every aspect of life deserves to be understood. Opinions are my own.

@RebelComicNerd In larger studios, some parts of QA may end up being automated. There's only so many people and so many hours in the day.
Someone still needs to code it out. So, QA are devs. Full stop.
@JLHGameArt Two months designing a full system for multiplayer progression. System was thrown out due to disagreements on design.
Later on, ended up using it anyway when the objection was forgotten. Felt like going in circles.
Talk of Karmic Dice in #BaldursGate3 being weighted in the player's favour tends to ignore that a lot of design in single-player games are already weighted to favour the player.
Multiplayer - We need to be fair.
Singleplayer - Our AI has no feelings. Our players do.

@DestinLegarie I imagine most #gamedevs are happy with some discourse. If you attend our meetings, there's bound to be some.
Certainly I don't think we always get it right. No-one ever does. But we sure as hell try.
@DestinLegarie Agreed. There's no better way for us devs to ignore your feedback if you:
1.) Threaten to kill us.
2.) Tell us we're lazy.
3.) Tell us we're dumb and stupid at our jobs.
@DMC_Ryan I imagine it's also general instability in economics right now. Prices being such as it is, people want their things to last just a little longer.
Still, I agree that length should not dictate value proposition.
