Tomorrow, Buckingham Palace forecourt will be turned blue with a RAF Regiment only mount. Today we will apply the final touches with the all the visiting squadron Standards who will be on show alongside the RAF Regiment Colour.
WO Martin of the QCS will continue the tradition of parading Flt Lt Albert Wombwell’s pace stick onto Buckingham Palace forecourt. Known by many as Stiffy, the principle DI at RAF Uxbridge from 1920 to 1926 will have a place in tomorrow’s parade.

Congratulations to SAC Lee who successfully passed the Pre-Parachute Selection Course. WO QCS welcomed him back after the arduous 3-week course. Lee’s self-drive and commitment to passing was evident across the squadron. Well done 💪🏼
On the 12th September, SAC Bird of The Queen’s Colour will cover 13.1 miles when attempting to complete The Great North Run carrying 40lbs in support of the RAF Benevolent Fund.
Initially running the event to support his spouse, SAC Bird looks to go one further.
