NDC WOMEN IN EMOHUA LOCAL GOVERNMENT COLLAPSE STRUCTURE TO ADC AS UGO YOUNG RECEIVES WOMEN LEADER
The women wing of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) in Emohua Local Government has recorded a major political shift as its LGA Woman Leader, Dr. Olive Obioma-Onyenma, officially defects to the African Democratic Congress (ADC) alongside her entire political structure.
Dr. Obioma-Onyenma was briefly received by Chief Hon. Wosu Ugo Young, the ADC Assembly candidate for Emohua Constituency.
Chief Hon. Wosu Ugo Young commended Dr. Obioma-Onyenma for her courageous decision to join the ADC, describing her as a grassroots mobilizer whose presence would further strengthen the party’s growing popularity across Emohua Local Government and state at large.
Assuring the new entrants of equal opportunities and full integration into the party’s activities, while urging them to remain committed to the ADC’s vision of good governance, unity, people-oriented leadership and restoration of good governance in Nigeria.
This latest development is a significant boost to the ADC’s grassroots support base in Emohua Local Government Area as the party heads to the 2027 General Elections.

There Is No One More Qualified Than Me To Run For President Of Nigeria - Dickson
You are talking about names because they have gained traction, and for reasons of my own I chose not to run. But it should not be made to look like anyone is doing the NDC a favor. Rather, the NDC, my colleagues, and I are the ones offering people a platform. That narrative is important. You cannot claim to support Peter Obi while at the same time disparaging me, the leadership, or the platform itself. If it is so easy to form a party, then anyone is free to go and form their own. Respect for the platform and its leadership is essential.
Seriake Dickson, Founder & Leader, Nigeria Democratic Congress
Listening to Peter Obi on CNN.
Doesn’t sound confident.
Very uninspiring.
Not proffering solutions to the problems.
I am not impressed. Extremely disappointed.
Very poor outing.
"Nobody doing NDC a favour. The NDC is doing Peter Obi a favour by granting him a platform. You cannot claim to support Peter Obi while at the same time disparaging me.”
-Senator Seriake Dickson, NDC National chairman.
Nigerians are crying out — not for luxury, but for safety.
Gas is too expensive for the pot. Fuel is too expensive for the road.
We’re forced to choose: suffer in silence, or stand up and vote.
2027 is our answer.
we deserve is not just possible, it is inevitable.
A New Degema is Possible!
Winifred Alfred Lawson
ADC Candidate, Rivers State House of Assembly
Degema Constituency
Intentional, Firm & Prepared.
As we step into this new week, I wish the good people of Degema a week full of greater hope, and lives filled with joy.
Today reminds us that progress is never accidental. It is built by people who refuse to give up on their tomorrow.
Let us stay focused on what truly matters:
~ Leadership that listens
~ A system that delivers
~ Opportunities that reach every community.
The future of Degema is not in the hands of a few. It is in our hands, together.
If we stay united and committed, the change
This afternoon, I visited my brother and compatriot, former Governor of Rivers State and ex-Minister of Transportation, Chief Rotimi Amaechi, at his Abuja residence.
Beyond the warmth and camaraderie, we had deep and honest conversations about the troubling state of our nation, the growing economic pain, insecurity, and the urgent responsibility on patriotic Nigerians to continue engaging in the search for solutions that can rescue our country from drift and despair.
I also felicitated with him on the occasion of his birthday yesterday and teased that Arsenal’s historic triumph could not have arrived at a better time. Chief Amaechi, a thoroughly well-loaded Gunner, took the banter in very good spirits.
In true Rivers hospitality, he apologised for not having enough time to prepare Fisherman Soup, a delicacy I have now been promised on our return for the second leg 😃. -AA
