#PropheticService
We’ve felt prompted by the Spirit to share this message for weeks.
Please, observe these two musicians. They represent the two worlds and systems contending for your life.
These individuals are not just singers but missionaries. They use their craft to carry out the mission of the world and the deity they represent.
Dunsin Oyekan, representing gospel ministers, uses prayer, fasting, the Word, and consecration to deliver his music to you.
Ayra Starr, representing worldly singers, uses sexual immorality, nudity, and sensual lyrics to deliver her music to you.
Though we’ve used these two as examples, they represent entire musical industries contending for your life.
Gospel music ministers don’t just sing; they undergo prayer, fasting, and study first.
Why? It’s not just about musical harmony—it’s about your transformation. The goal is to influence your desires.
Worldly singers don’t just sing; they live in sexual immorality.
Male singers have children out of wedlock, brag about promiscuity, and glorify wealth.
They make money their god, fame their goal, and sex their mission—before and during their music.
Female singers elevate sexuality above music, with provocative dances, revealing outfits, and obscene lifestyles.
Consider Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, Cardi B, Megan Thee Stallion, etc. These women embody these traits.
The goal of these two missionaries is to influence your desires. For the gospel, Dunsin Oyekan represents:
John 15:7:
"If you abide in Me, and My WORDS abide in you, you will ask what you DESIRE, and it shall be done for you."
If Jesus' words abide in us, our desires align with God’s will.
All behavior stems from desires. Whatever controls your desires controls your actions. Your actions determine your eternal state—heaven or hell.
This is why the Bible says to renew your mind:
Romans 12:2:
"And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God."
For worldly singers, the goal is also to influence your desires:
James 1:14-15:
"14 But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed.
15 Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death."
If their music, filled with lust and pride, influences you, your desires will lead to sin.
This is the aim of these two worlds.
This is why we warn believers to avoid music that doesn’t glorify God.
Leave, people of God—get out of Babylon!
Finally, music has a scriptural purpose: to fill you with the Spirit of God:
Ephesians 5:18-19:
"...be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord."
It also fills you with the Word of God:
Colossians 3:16:
"Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord."
Music is for filling the Spirit and the Word, according to Scripture.
Stay away from music that does the opposite.
May the Lord God bless and keep you. Amen.
This is the day the lord has made, we will rejoice and be glad in it.
Happy birthday to our inestimable Resident Pastor.
