🔧 Now you can set the different `winget` flags when creating a script, or grabbing a Pack.
📦 `winget import` support lets you download Packs as .json files so you can install your apps within seconds.
Other updates
- When apps get removed from winget, they are now removed automatically from Packs, too.
- Fixed a bunch of issues related to profiels.
- Added support for the new winget manifest schema.
- Fixed issues with icons not showing up in pack previews.
You can now hide packs from the Packs page on winstall.
Hidden packs will be hidden from your profile as well.
You can view all your packs in your personal profile (/users/you) and change a pack's visibility to be listed in the public Packs directory whenever you want.
Enjoy!
FYI: I have temporarily paused updates to the winstall API as it is not compatible with the new manifest schema. Will (attempt to) work on this over the weekend :)
PSA: The Windows Package Manager manifest schema conversion is complete. All pipelines have been re-enabled. We're now accepting PRs for v1.0 manifests.
Windows 10 has a new package manager, but Microsoft only provides a command-line interface.
winstall fills the gap, providing a convenient graphical interface. It's like Ninite, but more powerful. https://t.co/sinm6hzLC3
Pagination is live on the Packs page! https://t.co/QIOwwqIRX8
Now displays the official packs first, followed by most recently created packs by the community.
New search + sorting capabilities coming in the following weeks :)
AHHHHH winstall already has more than 500 packs within a week. Thank you so much to those who tried this out! ❤
Looks like imma have to implement pagination sooner than I'd intended to :)
Introducing winstall packs: a new way of curating and sharing the Windows apps you love and use daily. Check out the new homepage! @winstallhq 👀

Winstall is a cool little web app that uses Microsoft’s Windows Package Manager to let you create a list of apps to bulk install on a PC. It’s like Ninite, but better. Details: https://t.co/SwSJ7AN3gt
