Winners of Sheep Farmer of the Year 2018. Innovative and market driven farmers, breeding top quality stock and survival skills. Parents to 3 mini farmers.
This is the most difficult time of year for sheep farmers to complete a DEFRA consultation, however it's so important we get as many views from the sector as possible please find time if you can, NFU have made this task easier see below 👇

Sheep Farmers act now. We need more research, properly licensed medication and an acknowledgement of farmers at the heart of welfare rather than knee jerk legislation forced on us. @FarmersGuardian@FarmersWeekly@NFUtweets
@Radmore_farm Yep, no one is allowed to mention it to me and then I’ll mope muttering to myself rest of week. It’s bloody lonely on the farm when they go back and then I’ll have all their soppy show sheep to feed myself
@Radmore_farm@NoFarmsNoFoods Exactly what I keep thinking Ben, maybe a big group of farmers all stand at the next election. Pleased it isn’t just the crazy in my head thinking it
@bentd76@FarmingUK What amazes me Ben is that all these people would rather see family farms go bankrupt- due to the current govt’s policies driving us under - than allow us to use a % of our land for solar to fund food production on the rest of it and keep families in business. So short sighted
@Wyefarm Same here in the north east. I drove all the way across the country to wales last week and it was desert like the whole way. Not regional but national
@angusgowthorpe@Wyefarm Been shouting about it since start of July. Banging the drum really hard but DEFRA just aren’t getting the severity, that’s the issue with them being in offices in cities!
With extreme heat and the dryest spring/summer for over 100years in many parts of the England. Grazing livestock and conserving forage is extremely difficult @theRPA@DefraGovUK please make general derogation for grazing options on CS SFI HLS.This is a partnership be a partner.
