Now what's this nonsense?
Let me explain.
I'll make it simple.
1. BTS are on tour.
2. They're readjusting to this old/new life after being away for years
3. They're enjoying being together again.
4. They start a live when they can and have the head-space
5. They owe us nothing.
In the New York Times today “But BTS, possibly the biggest act in the world since JACKSON…”
BTS is at THAT level so let’s act accordingly, ARMY. Publicly engaging in fanwars tells outsiders that we think other groups are on the same level.
I want to go back to watching Like Animals performed live for the first time. Takes my breath away how good their vocals are, and they can really command the stage while sitting down. THAT is a group that has longevity
#BTS
New York Times calling BTS,along with Michael Jackson, the BIGGEST act
“BTS, possibly the biggest act in the world since Jackson, is perhaps the only Korean recording act with the freedom & leverage to spark a reckoning”
BTS PAVED THE WAY
BTS GREATEST OF ALL TIME
BTS BTS BTS
A person was asking how they moved the stage so quickly in the US since the shows have so few days between them and this was a reply on there - this is brilliant.
The other week my brother and I spent half the day running around doing banking, paperwork and all the boring adult things. Somewhere between all of that we somehow ended up talking about BTS and, more specifically, ARMY.
My brother doesn't really get BTS. To him it's simply, "My sister loves them, they make her happy." That's enough. He's never felt the need to understand beyond that.
But when I started talking about my ARMY friends, that was the part that genuinely caught his attention.
Anyone who knows me knows I've always been incredibly selective about the people I let into my life. I have a very low tolerance for bullshit, cruelty or trash behaviour. Always have. If I call you my friend, you're my person. Whether we've spoken yesterday or five years ago doesn't really change that.
So I found myself doing what I always do... absolutely bragging about my friends. Their kindness. Their intelligence. Their generosity. Their insane careers. Their resilience. The way they quietly show up for people. The way they celebrate each other's wins. Just... genuinely good humans.
My brother actually stopped and said he was really impressed. Not because of BTS themselves, but because of the calibre of people I've ended up surrounded by because of BTS.
It was funny hearing it from someone completely outside the fandom.
His takeaway wasn't, "Wow, BTS are famous."
It was, "So these are the kinds of people BTS attract."
And honestly... I think he's right.
People often say you become like the people you surround yourself with. Good people tend to recognise other good people. Maybe that's the quiet ripple effect BTS have had all along. They created a space that drew in people who genuinely try to leave the world a little better than they found it.
I'm incredibly grateful that loving seven men from Korea somehow led me to finding some of the kindest, funniest, smartest and most incredible people I've ever had the privilege of calling my friends.
That's the part of this famdom I'll never stop being thankful for.
Thanks @BTS_twt 💜🫂💜
