The immigrant experience has always been at the heart of Superman's story. In a time of reboots, switching up Clark Kent would just make sense.

Queer History Fact: during the AIDS crisis, many lesbians became frontline caregivers and activists for gay and bi men when society and institutions abandoned them. Their leadership and solidarity are part of why the ‘L’ now comes first in LGBTQIA+.
@BootsRiley was an absolute class act and fantastic man to meet at IFF Boston last month after the I Love Boosters screening. Took a few minutes to talk about the movie and even allowed a selfie!! Everyone should go see Boosters asap!!
There is a direct correlation between the “you can’t possibly write an essay without ChatGPT” and the “that director couldn’t possibly have directed the film they directed” commentary. Believe it or not, people are capable of doing things even if you specifically are not.
i'm sorry, once you're past the age of like 25, undergrad age girls look like children. even when you dress like "baddies" you look like fledgling birds and not like grown adults. i guarantee no prof that isn't a predator/creep even spares you a second glance
This is what all universities need to start doing, and should have been doing from the get go. AI is antithetical to the entire university project. Bam it, fail students who use it, don’t hire/keep profs who use it, and let’s get back to actually fucking teaching and researching.
The smartest English departments will double down on ensuring their students have read long arduous books, numerous a semester. They’ll have reading labs where students read & take physical notes for 3 hours at a time. They advertise their students can concentrate for hours.
Universities don't need to "teach students to use AI well." The whole point of AI is that it doesn't require any skill. Universities *should* teach students how to write and research on their own, and foster an ethic of shaming people who outsource their basic ability to think.
Part of the reason you should become more comfortable reading "problematic" authors is because you yourself are problematic in one way or another. I promise it.
That video of the High schoolers not knowing basic words is not funny, it’s actually really sad. Silhouette and gauche should be words they’re use to at that age.
