@dilanesper to me it's more a sign that it's so unpopular that someone as woke as ken jennings would joke about it. he's pretty online and progressive as far as i can tell

@QiaochuYuan michael jackson would have had to stay in insane physical condition to dance like that, didn't seem to help. my pet theory is that being extremely creative can be indicative mental illness; pop stars often are while successful athletes are typically physical talents + grinders
@Jabaluck i think that also in these fields one runs into a lot of brilliant people with average work ethic. the most successful are brilliant and hard-working because that's what it takes, but the hard work is what stands out relative to one's peers (though not to the general public)
