Did you know that the North American porcupine is covered in about 30,000 quills! It is a myth that these rodents can shoot their quills out but because the quills are so lightly attached, they do come off easily when a predator encounters them.

Jake and Catcher were both pets from separate homes before coming to Wildlife Learning Center. Catcher immediately bonded with Jake and the two have been inseparable since, providing each other with constant companionship and enrichment.
