February is Black History Month. It is an opportunity for all of us to celebrate the achievements and contributions of Black Canadians and their communities to our country. It is also an opportunity to reflect on ways to eradicate systemic racism in our institution and beyond.

As a result of the proceeds from the sale of shirts, 20% of it will be funded to the Warriors Equity, Diversion, & Inclusion Fund that supports the Alliance & the Black Heritage Student-Athlete Bursary.

Trisha Abe is a former student athlete & alumni of the University of Waterloo. The Alliance was made to create a positive systematic change in the BIR community at the University of Waterloo through recognition of, education's towards, and action against racism.
