I voted for Trump three times, and I support him. I also have my own issues with his handling of Iran.
He's been telling us for weeks, "We ALMOST have a deal with Iran." Maybe his negotiators are telling him that, but they keep being wrong, so he should stop listening to them. Iran is playing him. They pretend to negotiate, but have no intention of giving up their nukes. They'll string him along until the public become war-weary, the Republicans lose their majorities in at least one house of congress, and he's forced to stop making war and leave them with their WMD's.
Excellent podcast w/ General Jack Keane. Explains everything. I completely agree w/ him.

@TsukihimeFanboy@APS47788863@MaxNordau@RealCandaceO@grok Pressuring? Influencing?
Sounds like ordinary average diplomacy.
Iran has made it abundantly clear, they'd destroy Israel if they could. Do you disagree?
If you were in Israel's shoes, wouldn't you want Iran to be destroyed?
@tbailey1976@broncotony8@mehdirhasan You're just like his accusers- a lot of accusations, but zero proof. Where's your proof Tonya?
His accusers didn't have any. If they did, he'd have been impeached.
Please list some of the large corporations sued by TX Attorney General Ken Paxton, noting which he defeated. Grok: Here are some notable examples of large corporations sued by Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, with outcomes where available (focusing on major settlements or victories). Paxton has been very active against Big Tech, asset managers, pharma, and other large firms, often using Texas consumer protection, data privacy (e.g., CUBI biometric law), antitrust, and deceptive trade practices laws. Many cases have resulted in large settlements paid to the state (which go to the Texas Treasury).

Paxton has done an awesome job as TX AG. He sued the Biden administration several times, and won most of the lawsuits. He sued several giant corporations who were screwing the public, like Black Rock, State Street, Vanguard, Meta, Google, Purdue Pharma and several others, and beat them or secured settlements - Grok link below.
What other AG can match his record of success?
I wrote in another comment about the epic failure to impeach Paxton. They had NOTHING, and deserved to lose.
I vote in TX. Paxton has a concerning history, mainly about cheating on his wife.
The impeachment attempt was a clown show led by House Speaker Drunk Dade Phelan, who had personal animus against Paxton b/c of adverse rulings by Paxton as AG. The "investigation" was done in secret by a committee of Phelan's henchmen.
Other House members were not informed. A few of days before the House was to adjourn the committee announced their findings and had a vote the day after, giving Paxton no opportunity to prepare a defense. Minimal documentation was made public.
I watched the trial - all of it - and there were a series of accusations but no proof. Paxton's defense attorney Tony Buzbee made fools out of the impeachment managers. Paxton was acquitted by the Senate.
I had a couple of conversations with one of the impeachment managers, David Spiller. Spiller tried to talk me out of helping his opponent in the subsequent election. My questions to him were critical. Why did they rush the impeachment, and why did they do such a lousy job of presenting their evidence? Spiller's answer was SO LAME: "If you saw the evidence I saw, you'd understand." I asked him, "What did you see? Tell me about it, David." His answer? "I can't."
Maybe Paxton did everything they claimed. THEY DIDN'T PROVE ANY OF IT.
Paxton's getting my vote. With Talarico as his opponent, it's a no-brainer.
@wiseguywiseguy1@HelenM17813215@nypost A lot of warrants. How many convictions? I'll answer that for you. None.
Warrants issued in 2015? Obama was president then. It was his DOJ that sought those warrants.
By 2023, they had not brought Paxton to trial. The reason is obvious. They had nothing.

And another thing Tony. Consider the source of the comment you're responding to. Mehdi Hasan.
Mehdi Hasan does a "whatabout" using Paxton to try to show Republicans are just as bad, and you jump on board and take it and run with it.
You think Republicans are as bad as Dems? Republicans are spineless, weak, and ignore what their voters want. They're not power-hungry megalomaniacs like the Democrats. Republicans are corrupt, but not in the same way.
Democrats dirty up the Republicans, trying to show they're all equally corrupt, and you fell for it.
What do you actually know about Paxton's history of corruption, Bobby? What you read in the headlines? The 2 minute summary by some talking head on TV? What your friends say?
Help us out. What do you know?
I wrote a lengthy comment in this mix. Summarized version: There were a lot of accusations during the impeachment trail, but none proven.
They showed he likely cheated on his wife. That's disgusting, but it's not a crime, and it's not an impeachable offense.
Maybe he really is corrupt, but their attempt to prove it was an epic fail.

@RNCResearch@MrShermichael I love how the blonde bimbo keeps trying to talk over and interrupt the black guy and he ignores her- keeps right on talking and finishes his thought. Like she's not even there. ๐
