We would love members old and new to come and join us performing the concerts, rehearsals start 3rd January 2025 at The Lighthouse Church, Holbury SO45 3NZ at 7.30pm. Rehearsals are every Friday from 7.30pm to 9.50pm then Monday evenings for solo and ensemble numbers.

Waterside Musical Society are delighted with how well the performances of Fearn & Appleton’s A Christmas Carol, a Pantomime, went and were so pleased they were well received by our lovely audiences at our new home of Fawley Royal British Legion

In 2025 we are reverting to our usual routine of performing concerts in the Spring.

The Spring concerts are titled “Any Dream Will Do” and will feature songs that have been inspired by dreams from concepts such as belief, hope, the land, mystery and the cosmos.

I expect everyone has had enough of elections now? Dickens was invited to stand for parliament but refused as he felt his writing was more influential than politics. His Father was sent to a Debtor’s prison so he then used his writings to try and improve people’s lives.

The story of “A Christmas Carol” started with the book by Charles Dickens. However it has appeared in various forms of media since, including this 1901 film which remarkably is still preserved by the BFI
