Deep down, I still want to meet that man that made me lose my girlfriend...

I still remember the night everything changed.

We went to church like any other Sunday, nothing unusual.

She sat beside me, familiar and smiling.

Our lives quietly entangled in a relationship that had passion, closeness, and confusion all at once, but no real direction.

But that night...
Something pierced deeper than emotion.

When the message ended...

She didn’t rush to hold my hand like before.

She stayed seated, silent, as if wrestling with something unseen.

Then she stood up and walked forward during the altar call.

I watched her from where I sat, thinking it was just another emotional moment.

But it wasn’t.

She surrendered her life to Christ that night.

When she came back, her eyes were different, calm, firm, awake.

She looked at me and said, “I can’t continue this relationship.”

I tried to understand.
“Why? Did I hurt you?”

She shook her head gently.

“It’s not about anger,” she said.
“It’s about alignment.

I can’t keep living a life that has no covenant, no direction, and no honoring of what I now understand God is calling me into.”

That night, she didn’t just leave a relationship.

She left confusion and stepped into conviction.

And I learned that conviction doesn’t negotiate, it obeys what it believes is truth.
