@IAmEthanBowman Other than putting yourself out there as much as possible and saying “YES” to more things I don’t have the best advice there. My point is mostly to recognize the good people you already have in your life and prioritize them over other aspects rather than taking them for granted
The past few months have been some the best month of my life. Im happy and love the people I have around me. I feel like I’ve cracked one of the codes to life. Surround yourself with good hearted people You can rely on. That applies to relationships, work, family and friends
@melanji@lhfaria A lot of teams might struggle to get visas especially ones with less team support. As long as they’re given adequate time for that it’ll be great. It’d just suck if a bunch of teams that placed first dont get to actually go because of visas

I also struggle to find value on attack with him.
@ale_delcele@demu1028 Fair enough. They’re talking about artists being able to import the assets without having to first make LODs. This is for the initialization not the final product but I can see how that can be misinterpreted. Regardless, studios know this is not enough. They just dont care.

Studios arent making pipelines before testing the engine either. I feel like you’re too young to understand this so believe whatever you want
@ale_delcele@demu1028 Studios with devs that have years of experience know that nanite isn’t perfect but refuse to do more work to save money. You just wana be mad at UE5. I cant change that. Blaming the engine that offers both methods just lets these studios take advantage of your simple thinking
@ale_delcele@demu1028 Nanite works as advertised. It’s not as good as handling LOD by hand as different styles require different levels of LOD adjustment. Again that’s up to the devs to analyze. Nanite can be used but not for everything. If devs see that farther tuning is needed they can always do it
@3mar445 @demu1028 I agree but again thats not a UE5 issues. Just because the engine offers it, doesn’t mean you cant make a fun game. Blaming UE5 just takes the blame off all these rushed games made by studios that dont care about anything but making shareholders happy
@ale_delcele@demu1028 Epic literally offers free teams of optimizing engineers to studios to educate them on best methods of optimization and they said only 14% of studios use that resource. Another person on this app saying shit just to say shit.
