I remember when apostasy was defined as speaking out against the bible. It would appear that nowadays, apostasy is defined as speaking out against the organisation. In fact, even having doubts or questioning policy is now a form of apostasy. #movinggoalposts
@Larchwood20 How does this direction sit with the fact that doctrines have been scrapped/changed/revised over the years. Either the Org is being led by God and should be the beacon of knowledge and understanding, or it’s led by men who have got things wrong in the past. Which is it?
Despite being on their ‘Do Not Call’ list, I had an elder from the local Cong at my door recently ‘checking’ that I still didn’t want any visits. Is this usual? Do they come round and ‘check’ every X number of years?
@ihavemanylayers I’d ask ‘If 1914 is wrong, how did that belief come about? If the F&DS are God’s channel one of two things happened; either God gave them incorrect information, or he allowed them to believe it, knowing it was incorrect. Either way, it’s enough to doubt every other belief.
@HolyFade I understand how exhausting it can be and I truly admire your bravery. It’s difficult to see now but, having been there, it does get easier. It won’t be ‘easy’ but it will get easier. Wishing you all the best 👏👍
@_TechyBen@dhrquiney So true. When challenged about the teaching that the generation that saw 1914 would also see Armageddon he said, ‘We didn’t say that, that’s not actually what was taught’. They’re in denial.
@dhrquiney So, here’s a question. Were the GB God’s Mouthpiece, ‘Borne along by Holy Spirit’ when they wrote this? If so, how did they get it so terribly wrong? If not, why should we listen to a subsequent word they say?

Jehovah's Witnesses encouraged to sell their homes & properties and pioneer in the "short time" before Armaggedon.
I know JWs who did that and are today broke pensioners, living in rented rooms. At least Satan's system looks after them. WT does nothing
