The bridge on the right is the Wakankar Bridge. Since it was getting old, it was decided to construct a new bridge "parallel to it", a standard engineering practice.

However, as per a report by Dainik Bhaskar the new bridge (left) was tilted by 30 to 35 degrees during construction, allegedly going against the approval. This drastic mid-project change was made allegedly to protect private land owned by influential individuals, extending the bridge's length by nearly 100 meters.

This modification has triggered a costly domino effect on local public infra. The new 35-degree alignment now cuts directly through the center of a ₹2.5 crore Smart City parking lot built just four years ago, effectively ruining the facility. Consequently, the Smart City team must now find alternative land to replace the parking space, while the total project cost has climbed to nearly ₹65 crore.

Following the backlash, the Chief Engineer of Setu Nigam has promised an on-site inspection to investigate the revised design and hold the responsible officials accountable.

Outside Pentonville Prison in England, Vinayak Damodar Savarkar stood waiting to receive the body of a 25-year-old young man.

But after the execution, the British government refused to hand over the body to anyone.

That body belonged to the great revolutionary Madan Lal Dhingra the son of a wealthy and influential family, whose father, a civil surgeon working under the British government, had sent him to England for higher studies.

Yet the fire of revolution burned so fiercely within him that, alongside Savarkar, Dhingra resolved to punish William Hutt Curzon Wyllie, a British officer who had returned to England after serving in India.

On 1 July 1909, at the Imperial Institute in London, Dhingra shot Curzon Wyllie dead during a public gathering.

The British government arrested him immediately, and on 17 August 1909, he was hanged.

Such was his courage and fearlessness that during the trial he openly declared:

“The British government has no right to try me.”

He further said:

“A government that is killing countless innocent patriots in India and draining millions of pounds from my country every year has no moral authority over me. I do not recognize its laws, and therefore I will offer no defense in this court. Do whatever you wish.”

And when he was led away after being sentenced to death, he thanked the judge and said:

“Thank you. You have given me the opportunity to lay down my life for my motherland.”

In 1983 RAW sent a junior operative to contact him.

That operative was caught by ISI and broke under torture.

Ravindra’s cover was blown. Not by his mistake. By RAW’s.

He was arrested. Tortured for 2 years. Sentenced to death. Commuted to life.

From prison he smuggled one letter home.

Had I been an American I would have been the hero of many films.

But here I am just another forgotten number.

He died in Mianwali jail in 2001 at age 49.

Buried in an unmarked grave behind the prison.

आने वाले दिनों (आज से कल तक) किसी न किसी छात्र आंदोलन की भीड़ से कोई रैंडम व्यक्ति प���ट्रोल बम फेंकेगा, या किसी बस को आग लगाएगा। तब देखिएगा कि अचानक से सारे भाजपा नेता-प्रवक्ता (जो अभी तक चुप हैं) बोलने लगेंगे:

“देखिए, नियमावली में जो बात है, वह एक समिति ने सुप्रीम कोर्ट के कहने पर बनाई है। यह विषय न्यायपालिका में विचाराधीन है, अतः हमें उसका सम्मान करना चाहिए। समाज में हिंसा की कोई जगह नहीं है। छात्रों को पढ़ने पर ध्यान देना चाहिए, न कि हिंसा का मार्ग ले कर सामाजिक समरसता के बिग��ड़ने का। उनके जो भी कन्सर्न हैं, उस पर लिख-बोल रहे हैं, सरकार के हाथ बँधे हैं। पर यदि आप बातचीत की जगह बस फूँकने लगेंगे तो कैसे बात सुनी जाएगी। युवाओं को अपनी सकारात्मक ऊर्जा राष्ट्र निर्माण में लगानी चाहिए, विकसित भारत के लिए उन्हें ��ोगदान देना चाहिए।”

जाति समूहों से पंगे ले कर आप केवल स्वयं पर नए केस आमंत्रित करोगे। आपकी लड़ाई मोदी से है, यूजीसी से है, शिक्षा मंत्रालय से है, आपके अपने अधिकार के लिए। किसी और को क्या मिला है, वह अलग विषय है।

ABVP वालों से भी कुछ दिन सँभल कर रहिए। उनका पत्र पढ़ कर लग रहा है कि दाँत तुड़वा कर शेर धनिया की चटनी चाट रहा है। यही लोग आपके आंदोलन को कुंद कर सकते हैं। बाकी टाइम तो ये सही ही रहते हैं, अभी ��ुझे इस विषय पर इन पर बहुत संदेह हो रहा है।
