A lot of divorced vvomen realize too late that what they needed wasn't divorce, but was therapy.
Tia Mowry filed for divorce from her ex husband, Cory Hardict after 14 years and two children.
She left a man who was good to her, attractive, never cheated on her or mi$treated her, supportive, a great father because she wanted to peep outside.
She felt that since he was her first love and she didn't enjoy life well before marrying him, she can still make up for lost fun times. What a brilliant idea !
At the beginning, this was what she said, "my marriage was a success, I look at it like a curriculum and at the end, there's graduation."
Like expected, she started her "self care, self love, I'm free and happy again," journey sprinkled with a dash of dancing on social media to prove her freedom.
Three years later, this is what she's saying
" I don't want to be alone, sometimes when I'm going through these challenges, I wanna go back."
Tia Mowry, wait a second, you said you sometimes feel like going back ? To who? You mean to the same man you graduated from? Girl, be for real !
What I think is that she felt initially that "her freedom " was going to mean anything. She longed for the b2b lifestyle not knowing that being passed around isn't a good feeling.
At this point she isn't sure if she made the right choice by divorcing. How did I know?
Because she recently said these;
"I have a beautiful house, beautiful kids but the one thing I don't have is love and that's what I'm looking for right now."
"the only person I ever loved is my ex."
She has been in the streets for just 3 years and she's singing a different tone.
The cold streets have reset her brain.
I think that after she went to therapy and did the inner work on herself, she came face to face with her own dโฌm0ns.
And that's when she realized that marriage wasn't the pr0blem, her ex wasn't the pr0blem rather it was her unchecked attitudes and behaviors that led to the demise of her marriage.
She has realized that you can love yourself, go on a spiritual journey, personal development; all these things that vvomen clamour for, while still married.
One doesn't need to divorce or rebel inorder to hit the gym, light scented candles at home, wear perfumes and run bubble baths... ... it's overrated.
Apart from online QUEEN pronouncement from deluded people , nothing is outside!
