@bobby_mum38353@Rothmus Good point. You’re right, I misspoke. The refs cheated and the team and fans have no integrity. If the team and fans came out and said “yea the refs gave us the maradona win and the Messi win” I’d absolve them.
@mrmidas2k@HealsLV@matthewdmarsden I already said you’re right! You said I’m talking bollocks. Obviously no retort can withstand such a scathing indictment! Go on with your life believing whatever makes you feel warm and fuzzy.
@mrmidas2k@HealsLV@matthewdmarsden Yes like I said, if you just say “you’re talking bollocks” obviously the other person is talking bollocks and no other information is necessary. Your bias and inability to be objective, as demonstrated, pales in comparison to saying that I’m “talking bollocks”.
@mrmidas2k@HealsLV@matthewdmarsden You’re right, I totally forgot when someone says “you’re talking bollocks” they automatically win any argument. My bad.
The irony of you saying I’m a know-nothing while actually knowing nothing about me is just icing on the cake .
@mrmidas2k@HealsLV@matthewdmarsden lol you’re only proving your inability to be objective and thus proving your own point wrong. Thanks for doing my job.
@mrmidas2k@HealsLV@matthewdmarsden Yup, I didn’t expect coherence or comprehension from you. You make a very strong case to root for Argentina. Luckily Argentina fans are more blind than you. Though not by much.
@mrmidas2k@HealsLV@matthewdmarsden Not at all. Getting help doesn’t mean “make it obviously rigged”. It means “make critical calls in englands favor to give them the best chance”. Which they did and I’m glad of it. If you think England won it purely on merit, you’re talking bollocks with no evidence.
@NealOKelly@matthewdmarsden The fact you said rightly for Norway and wrongly for England exemplifies your own bias. Hence why you want it to be an opinion. Tons of bad calls on both sides sure, but it wasn’t a wash. I’ll say it again before your bias takes your comprehension, I’m ecstatic England won.
@HealsLV@matthewdmarsden You’re arguing a claim I’ve not made and demonstrating you haven’t read any of my messages. I’m thrilled England won and I hope they take the cup. Been following Kane since he replaced Soldado for the spurs. Yes I watched the same game. England got help. And I’m ecstatic for it.
@HealsLV@matthewdmarsden Again, the claim that calls went in englands favor is demonstrably true. You’re welcome to deny reality but all that makes you is the same as an Argentina fan claiming maradona didn’t use his hand. And facing Argentina next, England is gonna need all the help they can get.
@matthewdmarsden The claim isn’t that the refs intentionally fixed the game or ONLY helped them. The claim is the calls went in their favor. That’s not an opinion. Whether it was intentional or malicious is debatable without evidence. But the refs calls absolutely favored England. Right or wrong.
@lukewbm@Ste_1888 Well I’ve never rooted against England and I’ve been watching Harry Kane his whole professional career so I’d enjoy them winning more than just cause they beat Argentina. But that would be some amazing icing on the cake.
@DarkByDesign18@Chuckles101577@DschlopesIsBack Yea I stopped watching nfl years ago because of the constant unnecessary roughness on calls that wouldn’t even get an eyebrow raise just 10 years ago. As sports become more about money than merit, this is the result.
@DarkByDesign18@Chuckles101577@DschlopesIsBack Oh no doubt! There are LeBron James level divers that stick out. But watch just 4 or 5 games of the EPL and this behavior would be exhibited in those as well.
@DarkByDesign18@Chuckles101577@DschlopesIsBack Very true. But in soccer, this is commonplace. Every game any player. Argentina does it EVERY game. But in America, you see it regularly in NBA, sometimes in NFL, and almost never in NHL and MLB. The majority of Americans recognize this behavior as inferior and weak.
@Ste_1888@lukewbm I’ll happily root for anyone over Argentina. And for the record Luke, if England manages to beat Argentina, I’ll root for them in the final too. Anyone who beats Argentina is a World Cup winner in my book, might as well have the trophy to go with it.
@joseph_zedong@lukewbm@enblinkville The World Cup isn’t a meritocracy. Never has been. Disappointing I know, but it’s all about what brings in the money.
