Finally getting around to posting about the amazing time I had at #vsf this year. Rather than writing one huge post now, I'm going to start things off here and add to it a little at a time to keep myself sane, there's too much to cover.

An important addition to that atmosphere were the memes, which tbh I think we've had in some form at most VSFs at this point. Special shout out to @Blade_of_Flame for the billboards which made timely appearances throughout the weekend. Very happy to have taken home the Asta one

@FottenSC Feel like I should add, I really love the commentary, but if I'm watching on YouTube, I'm searching for matches. I'll watch the whole video if I have time but that is sadly not often the case these days. I'm grateful for folks that take the time to clip stuff, those help.

@FottenSC Interesting question, gut feeling would have been ditch it but if only 1/3 of people are skipping maybe you could have a best of both worlds approach? Something like timestamps on a longer video or a playlist which has match videos and in-between videos?

Interesting stats, I wasn't considering TV viewers at all. Wonder if they might be happier with a long video including in-between game commentary than other YouTubers, feels a bit more TV like?
