๐ Monday 23 March
#TogetherAgainstLoneliness
Loneliness isn't a choice. For many people with #DownSyndrome, it's a daily reality.
Every person needs 3 things to feel connected and belong: ๐ Real inclusion ๐ Welcoming spaces ๐ Meaningful relationships
Tomorrow is #WorldDownSyndromeDay. Stand #TogetherAgainstLoneliness ๐
Sam is speaking directly to the people whose job it is to help.
And he is absolutely right.
Loneliness is not a small thing to be squeezed in at the end of a meeting. It is not a box to tick or a problem to pass on.
๐ข Share Sam's words โ especially with the professionals and organisations in your network who support people with Down syndrome.

Sad in the depth of my heart.
Take a moment with those words.
Petra is not describing a passing feeling. She is describing something deep. Something that hurts in a place that is hard to reach. A sadness that comes from wanting connection โ and not having enough of it.
This World Down Syndrome Day, 21 March, let Petra's words move you. Let them reach you in the depth of your heart too. Stand with her. Stand Together Against Loneliness. ๐
๐ข Share Petra's words. Let her voice be heard around the world โ and let it inspire real change.
