Building an OSINT map to track military activity, airspace changes and geopolitical signals. Sharing interesting events and patterns detected through it.
Estonia and Latvia have activated large military NOTAM areas along their borders with Russia, covering extensive stretches of airspace for military operations and exercises.
The timing is notable: Latvia’s Namejs 2026 exercise has just begun, while both countries have also been dealing with recent drone and airspace-security concerns along the eastern flank.

Interesting military-exercise NOTAMs off western Egypt, close to the maritime boundary with Libya. The location is worth watching: Egypt and Libya still have overlapping maritime claims in this part of the Mediterranean, while offshore energy exploration in the Western Mediterranean is accelerating. No evidence that the exercises are directly connected to the dispute, but the geography is notable.

🇹🇷🇬🇷If this is not an ADS-B gap, and the track does not really look like one, a Turkish Bayraktar TB2 strike-capable UAV appears to have crossed into Greek airspace south of Alexandroupoli.
The track shows the aircraft operating close to the Greek-Turkish border before continuing back toward Turkey.

An unusual airspace closure is active today, August 28, from 09:00 to 23:59 over several sections of the railway leading toward Pskov. On the map, the closures appear as the narrow yellow lines following the rail route. Pskov is the last major Russian city before the Estonian and Latvian borders, making the location particularly noteworthy.

An interesting NOTAM has been activated directly along Latvia’s eastern border with Russia. Restricted area EVR69A PILSUNSI is active today from 07:00 to 17:00 UTC for military operations. The restriction extends from the surface to UNL, effectively closing the entire vertical column of airspace in the area. Given its location right on the Russian border, it is an interesting one to watch.

German frigate FGS Baden-Württemberg (F222), operating under the UNIFIL mission, has departed Cyprus and is heading toward the Lebanese coast. Based on its current course, it is likely moving toward a patrol position near the maritime boundary between Israel and Lebanon.
Interestingly, the ship is still broadcasting its position via AIS. Military vessels often go dark during operational deployments, so it will be worth watching how long F222 remains visible and where it heads next.

🇺🇸🇮🇷U.S. Navy MQ-4C Triton is operating at FL460 over the Gulf of Oman, southeast of the Strait of Hormuz, above an Iranian NOTAM area warning of elevated risks from electronic warfare, air-defense readiness, GNSS/GPS interference, increased military interceptions, sudden airspace restrictions and communications disruption. The NOTAM itself only extends to FL100, so the Triton is flying above the restricted volume, but the geographic overlap is notable.
