@SaxonTheDan@BiggestJohnStud@TalkinYanks If everyone got judged off their first ten games and determined to be a bust after 10 games, we wouldn’t have half of the perennial superstars that we have in the MLB right now. Vlad sucked when he came up, so did Judge.
That’s that. The Yankees need to make a move. I would ecstatic to see a managerial change, but that won’t happen. Something’s gotta change, trade for bullpen arms, go get a third baseman, play anyone besides Trent in center. Change something.

@Bluejaysbeast1@BiggestJohnStud@TalkinYanks If every player was judged off their first 10 career games and sent down, we wouldn’t have superstars in the league. Not sure if you remember, or if you even watch baseball, but Vlad sucked in the beginning, couldn’t hit and was awful at third, look how that worked out.
Obviously the numbers weren't that inflated, if Spencer stayed up and kept getting consistent playing time these numbers would look a lot better. My point is, through a 10 game stretch there are guys with a lot worse numbers than this that the Yankees will continue to play. Verdugo obviously didn't have that 44% K rate the entire season, but had probably the most unproductive at-bats I have ever seen throughout an entire season.
He played 10 games. He had better at bats than most guys on this team. He drew 3 walks in 24 at-bats. We let guys ride with numbers similar to this for entire seasons. We let Verdugo ride it out in 24 when he literally grounded out to second base at least 2 times a game for an entire year.
Judge will be fine. He'll finish the year with the best hitting numbers by a large margin by the end of it. The real concern here is that nobody picks him up. If Judge doesn't do it, no one does. Hence why the 24 team was so good. All around, this current team is deeper and better. But, having someone like Soto that could pick up Judge when he slumped for a week or so, and provide wins for us even without the best hitter in the world hitting at his normal rate, was the missing piece. He's been gone for 2 years now, we need to move on and replicate that production. Rice and Belli are huge bats in our lineup for that exact reason ,but two guys can't do it all.
I've tried to be extremely optimistic this year, but depending on how this series goes, if the Yankees are serious about winning a World Series something needs to change. We now have Rodon and Cole back, if we go and get smoked out by the Rays in this series, change something. If we go in and dominate, let it ride.

@Montanax98@Rickymartello04@nick5875 I said see if Wells can figure it out. I’d rather let Wells try to figure it out, than lose a prospect for Ryan Jeffers. WE’RE TALKING ABOUT RYAN JEFFERS.
Well hasn’t been good at all. But Ryan Jeffers does not make this team better. I’d much rather let it ride, look for catchers in free agency and see if Wells can figure it out. Trading for Jeffers doesn’t make this team any better, even when every “baseball fan” that has never actually watched a Twins game sees that he’s hitting .290 to start the year.
@Rickymartello04@nick5875 Why would we want to lose out on a prospect for Ryan Jeffers? He’s not that good, and not that much better than Austin Wells.
