Zelenskyy: "When our strikes reached Yandex data centers, it suddenly became little easier to breathe on many social media platforms. Many people noticed it.
There was less hate, less division, fewer provocations because there were fewer bots. It's pretty clear where those bots were coming from.
If they disappeared when Yandex went offline, this proves once again that Europe is not the source of the problems."
The big problem is that Russia figured out how modern society consumes information a decade ago, but the West hasn't.
There are millions of bots commenting and posting Russian propaganda. There are paid influencers spreading it, with Russian bots supporting their content.
There is a gigantic machine operating to radicalize and influence Western societies, and there is not enough defense in place.
It doesn't just influence elections, it sows discord, engulfs societies in culture wars, radicalizes teenagers, and shapes political decisions when elected officials fail to read the room.
That needs to change. And fast.
Nobody wants a city on Mars. Nobody wants AI in every app. Nobody wants a robot butler. Nobody wants data centers everywhere. Nobody wants flying cars or humanoid robots. We want clean water, we want bees to survive, and we want a habitable planet.
I often get comments on my videos saying, “I bet they have a car,” “I bet they have a phone,” or “I bet they have a television.”
A car can be essential for getting to work, taking children to school or attending appointments. A phone is essential for work, banking, benefits, healthcare and staying connected.
A television is a small comfort, and owning one does not mean someone cannot be struggling.
Poverty is caused by wages and benefits failing to keep pace with rent, council tax, food, petrol and energy costs.
One small luxury is not the reason someone is poor. Stop expecting people in financial hardship to live without comfort, dignity or enjoyment just to prove they need help.

🚨 Braverman’s position on #bbcqt is so extraordinary: she internalises the racist premise that a person of Asian heritage cannot truly be English.
She is prepared to accept racial exclusion for herself, to do herself down and doff her cap to ethnic English nationalism, then uses her own self-exclusion to legitimise the exclusion of millions of others.
England is not a racial category. Black and Asian people born and raised here are no less English than anyone else.
This narrow English nationalism also treats England as the default nation of Britain, reducing Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland to subordinate appendages.
The UK must be a partnership of equal nations, not a hierarchy with England at the top.
Prisons are overcrowded because we are locking up tens of thousands of people with drug problems, mental health issues and low educational attainment. Meanwhile, Michelle Mone, Post Office bosses, billionaire tax dodgers and those responsible for Grenfell Tower walk free.
